If Time Stood Still

When one door closes another one opens. Come take a walk with me to a time when life was so much quieter. When one went out of the way to help another.

If one could walk into this old barn, you would automatically smell the old straw. There might even be an old milk pail or milk stool in a corner. This old barn would have so many memories to tell if it was able. In the early mornings, someone would be there milking the cow. All the feeding would have to be done for the livestock. Someone would be saddling up a horse for the day.

Life was hard back then. Nothing came easy. But with hard-work and determination, they thrived. Family was everything.

On this day “ Canada Day”, please do not forget all that has been sacrificed to be free. A place I love to call home.
