Moments! 💕

As a little girl one could always find me with an animal. Whether it was a kitty, dog, chicken, bunny, or a trip to see the calves — they all had names, and they all had a place in my heart.

A year ago yesterday, I lost my house kitty, Lynx. If you’ve ever truly loved a pet, you know the kind of loss that settles deep. The quiet spots where they used to sleep, the little habits that stay in your heart long after they’re gone. 💔Nothing could ever replace her — she was one of a kind.

But on October 17 last year, I brought in Polar. She’s not Lynx — and she doesn’t need to be — but she’s helped me remember how healing it can be to love again.

Then came my two little pups, Bobby and Sully. Full of energy, mischief, and so much love. They’ve learned quickly how special Polar is to me, and it’s been quite the adventure (and sometimes a challenge) as we all find our balance together.

Last night, while the Blue Jays game was on, something beautiful happened. Sully was curled up on the chair with me, half-asleep, when Polar jumped up to cuddle. Slowly, they got closer — no barking, no chasing — just quiet peace.

That moment meant more than words can say. It reminded me that sometimes love takes time. Sometimes healing takes patience. And sometimes, life takes a little longer to teach us the lessons that matter most.

But oh, it’s so worth the weight. 💙
