Bobby’s Diary – New Wonders of the Yard

Dear Diary,

Wow. Big day. Garden day!

Me and Sully “helped” the lady. 😊 I dug through the carrots — testing them. Strong carrots. Wind-proof. Perfect. Then I found the peas. Snap! Yum. Sweet little green treats just for me (I think).

Then—magic! The green snake on the ground started spitting water. Cool mist! Cold drops! Heaven. I lapped it up and it splashed my fur all shiny. Sully barked at it like a hero. “It’s okay, buddy,” I told him. “I like the soaker hose!”

Now I’m soggy. The lady says, “Onto the deck, you two.” I sprint to the door. Whimper. “Let’s go inside!” She laughs and shakes her head. “Hard pass, Bobby. You’re dripping.”

Why? There’s a fan inside! It’s warm! I’d dry faster! But no. Door stays closed.

So here I sit. Wet fur. Sun on my back. Thinking. Should I dry off…or go back to the magic water snake?
